ズーラシア!

Well, despite the fact I’m feeling ill, I feel that this is one of those days that’s worth posting about. Despite the fact I haven’t really posted much of anything lately.

Anyways, today was the much anticipated field trip day. Every grade was doing something. I was requested by the second graders. I have to say that those four teachers are my favourite. They’re the youngest, and they’re so much fun.

Anyways, there was one little problem:

It was pouring. Not raining. Not drizzling. POURING.

And of course, this is Japan. so we went anyways. Because we’re badass like that?

And, of course, I’ve been fighting YET ANOTHER COLD. So I did not look forward to this trip.

So, we pile on the bus, and I was adopted by Sakamoto-sensei. Who I really do adore.  I like that she’ll talk to me, and completely not care that she’s going Japanese a mile a minute, and I just nod blankly and then she laughs at me but it’s more in that “Ah shit yeah not that good yet” and then we point and stuff and it’s all good. Plus, she’s AWESOME when she’s wasted. :D

Anyways, moving on. So, we got to the zoo, and, lo and behold, still pouring. It was fun though.

Here, have some photos instead.

Me with Sakamoto-sensei’s class. She’s the one in the red track suit. XD

I loved this bear.

Apparently, seeing this thing was really exciting? I don’t know.

I can’t get enough of this pic. Every time I see it, I start singing “Rollin’”
They see me rollin’
They hatin’

XD

The one on the left is actually the cutest, fluffiest little thing ever. I want to keep him in my pocket.

I love this photo. So much. This is Nihongi-sensei. He’s amazing with the kids. You can see how much they love him by the smile on her face. :D

His nickname is Aka-chan (baby) and oh my god, he was so precious. He was assigned to be my line escort, along with one of the others. He was quite happy to just walk right at my side, acting about 2 years younger than he is. I want to adopt him.
