Great U-Kiss Give Away: Results!

It’s been a really fun week! At least, I’ve found it fun. Since two of the three questions involve me picking the answer, I’ve had a lot of fun following the questions and trying to pick an answer. In some cases, it was hard. In some cases, it was easy.

Prize One: The U-Kiss Slogan Towel (Facebook)

This one was SO HARD. I’m not going to lie, I had a list of songs in my mind where I thought “If someone puts this, I will let them win just for the lolz”…. BUT ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE SONGS WAS PUT. Which means I had to be serious in my decision choosing. After going over the songs, listening to them, and thinking about the sound U-Kiss have been having lately, I had to go with Kiara’s choice of “Liquid Dreams” by O-Town. When I saw this come up, I laughed so much because I remembered LOVING this song as a kid. But now that I listen to it, I was like “Holy crap, this works so well.”

Lets all take a moment to think about what this song could be like with U-Kiss’ superior dancing, more powerful vocals, and perhaps a rap in there as well. And maybe change the names to be relevant to 2012 k-pop. It’d be hot.

A lot of people put slower songs, which are nice, but U-Kiss haven’t done many slow songs, so while they have the skills for it (as we all saw with Someday) I think everyone loves them for their upbeat dance songs (Like Neverland and Tick Tock.) Another big problem was that people kept picking songs that are done by solo artists. While this isn’t IMPOSSIBLE to convert to a group, a lot of the songs were the type to focus on just the vocals, and the rappers would get very little to do. And any Backstreet Boys song wasn’t considered simply because they’ve already done BSB, so that wasn’t a stretch for them at all.

Songs I would have picked:

• Because of You by 98 Degrees (With an AJ slow math rap or something mixed in there for good measure)
• Dirty Pop or Digital Getdown by NSYNC (HURRHURR)
• When the Lights Go Out by 5ive
• If Only or This Time Around  by Hanson
• California by Wave
• ANYTHING by The Moffatts, but that’s because I was a HUGE Moffatts fan as a kid.

Prize Three: U-Kiss Phone straps, bracelets and decal (Tumblr)

Thankfully, this one was really easy for me, unlike the song one. There were a few questions that jumped out at me, but in the end, there was one that stuck with the most, because it was unique, and would also tell a lot about their personalities.

Maybe it appealed to my teacherness, but I think it would be really interesting to see what they would teach! I only have one or two guesses, the rest I can’t even imagine, so I REALLY liked this question! Yummertons, I’ll message you this evening to get your mail address.
