History Has It’s Eyes On You

I can’t get this thought out of my mind.

I wish that the world were a musical, where difficult messages were shared through music. Maybe then, Trump could have gotten the message that being the president is really hard work.

Picture this!

George Bush (Either one) takes Trump aside before the election, and instead of saying anything, he just breaks out into “History Has Its Eyes On You” from the Hamilton musical.

Just think of the lyrics and how they could almost fit.

I was younger than you are now

When I was given my first command

Bush Jr and Trump are the same age (70 right now) so Bush was way younger than Trump when taking office.

I led my men straight into a massacre

I witnessed their deaths first hand

Iraq.

I made every mistake

And felt the shame rise in me

And even now I lie awake

Knowing history has its eyes on me

Really. Bush was not a great president, in my opinion. I sometimes wonder if he looks back after seeing how things went with Obama and is like “Damn, that’s a good idea!” I doubt he does, but it’s a nice thought.

Let me tell you what I wish I’d known

When I was young and dreamed of glory

You have no control

Who lives, who dies, who tells your story

This is a lesson Trump will have to learn the hard way. He is trying so hard to control the news, his image, but at the end of the day, he will have no control how he is remembered.

I know that we can win

I know that greatness lies in you

Uh….. This wouldn’t fit because even the Bush’s were like “Nope to Trump!”

But remember from here on end

History has his eyes on you

Once again. Remember. History is now watching. And history is not kind to the power hungry.

I know, I know, it’s a ridiculous thought. I just thought it was rather funny. And since I hadn’t posted in a while, I thought I would share it with the world.
